Ronaldo tops the charts in Saudi Pro League

Riyadh:  Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best forwards in football, has achieved another milestone in his illustrious career. 39-year-old Ronaldo has broken the all-time scoring record of Saudi Pro League.

With two goals in his last match of the season, his goal tally has reached 35, surpassing Abderrazzaq Hamdallah’s tally of 34 goals in 2019.

After his record breaking performance, he took to social media and posted a statement on X saying, “I don’t chase records, on the contrary records follow me.” ,

Al-Nassr finished the season in second place. They finished behind their rivals Al-Hilal, who had an excellent performance and did not lose a single match in the 34-match season.

Portugal’s Ronaldo showed his excellent ability and finished third in the league in most assists with 11 assists.

The five-time Champions League winner joined Al-Nassr in 2023 and has since revolutionized the league. His arrival paved the way for big names in Europe to come to the Gulf region including Karim Benzema, Neymar Jr. and Riyad Mahraj.

Portugal’s all-time leading scorer will now be eyeing the upcoming European Championship as it will be his last chance to win another international trophy for his country.
